Byron Menchion (ERP) and Reggie Gentle (ERP) co-presented a workshop entitled Managing Customizations and Change in an EPM 9.0 Warehouse Environment at the Higher Education User Group’s Alliance ’09 Conference in March in Anaheim, California. Attendees of the conference include Oracle’s customers in the higher education and public sector arenas. The presentation highlighted FSU’s implementation of EPM 9.0 with OBIEE and Fusion Intelligence.

 

Angela McCausland (ERP) and David Ngo (University of Wisconsin) and Ginger McGlamery (North Carolina St. University) co-presented a workshop entitled “Effort Reporting Made Easy – Three Universities Present Their Unique Custom PS Bolt-on ER Systems” at the Higher Education User Group’s Alliance ’09 Conference in March in Anaheim, California. Attendees of the conference include Oracle’s customers in the higher education and public sector arenas. Florida State University, NC State University, and the University of Wisconsin have taken three different approaches to designing and implementing custom effort reporting systems, within PeopleSoft, to manage the full life cycle of effort performed on sponsored research projects and also guarantee they meet both their state and federal A-21 reporting requirements.

This presentation covered year two of Florida State University's implementation of the Google Analytics website tracking utility. This free tool was used to provide FSU technology managers with a rich set of PIA user metrics.

 

Randy McCausland (ERP) presented a session Two for the Price of One - Financials Upgrade in Conjunction with a Database Platform Change at the Higher Education User Group’s Alliance ’09 Conference in March in Anaheim, California. This presentation was a case study of Florida State University's project to upgrade our Financials application suite from version 8.9 to 9.0 in conjunction with a database platform migration from DB2/UDB to Oracle.

 

Leslie Fennell (ERP) presented a session Using Profile Management to Feed ePerformance – Performance Review are Fun for Everyone But HR at the Higher Education User Group’s Alliance ’09 Conference in March in Anaheim, California. Chuck Stubbs (ERP) and Amar Tekriwal (ERP) co-presented Save Some Trees - Getting Rid of Paper Security Forms and Do Online Role Requests at the Higher Education User Group’s Alliance ’09 Conference in March in Anaheim, California. Florida State University developed an application/workflow in OMNI HR to update and audit user profiles for the addition/deletion of user roles in HR or FIN.

 

David Best (ERP) presented a session Strategic Sourcing without Supplier Enablement at the Higher Education User Group’s Alliance ’09 Conference in March in Anaheim, California. Charles Kemeny (ERP) presented Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition OBIEE - Under the Hood at the Higher Education User Group’s Alliance ’09 Conference in March in Anaheim, California. This presentation was a case study of Florida State University's implementation of Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE), with a focus on the technology aspects of the product suite.

 

Reggie Gentle (ERP) presented Challenges & Rewards of Driving OBIEE Standards at the Higher Education User Group’s Alliance ’09 Conference in March in Anaheim, California. The presentation focused on management processes, disaster recovery techniques, and development standards that meet the needs of a growing and dynamic customer base.

 

Nora Loyd (ERP) presented Travel on a Budget - Integrating Travel & Expense with Commitment Control at the Higher Education User Group’s Alliance ’09 Conference in March in Anaheim, California. Highlighted improvements in Travel & Expenses, particularly with how it interacts with Commitment Control.

 

David Best (ERP) and Amar Tekriwal (ERP) co-presented An ePro to eMarket SciQuest Sandwich at the Higher Education User Group’s Alliance ’09 Conference in March in Anaheim, California. Attendees of the conference include Oracle’s customers in the higher education and public sector arenas. Presented the success in implementing an electronic marketplace solution for the campus users providing up to 50 approved online catalogs.
