Byron Menchion (ERP) and Reggie Gentle (ERP) co-presented a workshop entitled Managing Customizations and Change in an EPM 9.0 Warehouse Environment at the Higher Education User Group’s Alliance ’09 Conference in March in Anaheim, California. Angela McCausland (ERP) and David Ngo (University of Wisconsin) and Ginger McGlamery (North Carolina St. University) co-presented a workshop entitled “Effort Reporting Made Easy – Three Universities Present Their Unique Custom PS Bolt-on ER Systems” at the Higher Education User Group’s Alliance ’09 Conference in March in Anaheim, California. Florida State University, NC State University, and the University of Wisconsin have taken three different approaches to designing and implementing custom effort reporting systems, within PeopleSoft, to manage the full life cycle of effort performed on sponsored research projects and also guarantee they meet both their state and federal A-21 reporting requirements.

This presentation covered year two of Florida State University's implementation of the Google Analytics website tracking utility. This free tool was used to provide FSU technology managers with a rich set of PIA user metrics.

 

Randy McCausland (ERP) presented a session Two for the Price of One - Financials Upgrade in Conjunction with a Database Platform Change at the Higher Education User Group’s Alliance ’09 Conference in March in Anaheim, California. This presentation was a case study of Florida State University's project to upgrade our Financials application suite from version 8.9 to 9.0 in conjunction with a database platform migration from DB2/UDB to Oracle.

Florida State University developed an application/workflow in OMNI HR to update and audit user profiles for the addition/deletion of user roles in HR or FIN.
